As a Somerville National Leasing & Rentals, Rental Coordinator, you are a highly motivated and passionate self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, able to maintain our Commercial Rental Fleet. You will be responsible for the sales and operational requirements of the rental department, prospecting new commercial accounts while at the same time working with our existing client base to secure long term rental reservations. Industry experience is preferred, but not required. 

What makes you a great fit for this role? You can: 

● Independently oversee the day to day rental reservations and customer communication ( inbound and outbound) to ensure the rental fleet utilization is optimized. Typical fleet size is between 20-30 commercial vehicles. 

● Continually build relationships in order to develop future sales and increase your rental clientele. 

● Develop and maintain relationships with your customers. Follow company procedures regarding credit policies. 

● Manage the communication between commercial customers and their insurance providers to ensure vehicles are insured appropriately. 

What you’ll be doing? 

• Develop and maintain a rental billing routine to insure accurate and timely billing of rental charges to customers. 
• Complete check in and check out for daily rentals per company procedure. Communicate with Shop Service Advisor to schedule and coordinate routine maintenance required for the rental fleet. 
• Communicate damages ( if any ) to customers after damage inspections are completed. Monitor cleanliness of daily rental vehicles and perform clean ups as needed.
• Ensure and assist in making sure all daily rental vehicles are filled with fuel and all other consumable liquids. 
• Retrieve vehicles for customers and park vehicles as they return. 
• Complete a daily inventory of rental vehicles dropped off in ‘after hours’ lot. Ensure all Insurances are in place for rental contracts.
• Ensure all customers are aware of toll road policies. Nobody likes surprises!
• Follow up with customers on long term rentals in regards to vehicle maintenance. Communicate openly and collaboratively with all Somerville departments in an effort to serve our customers better (that’s our “one-team” mentality).
