Their alternative branding just a different name for the same product, but shouldn’t come as a surprise considering Mercedes-Benz’s long standing desire to distinguish themselves from the competition. It’s a clear signal that Mercedes-Benz is looking to cash in on the growing demand by offering the comforts of a luxury vehicle while making it competitive with non-luxury brands.

The CUV is proving to be an attractive option for young families and those looking to save a bit on gas, as the fuel costs associated with larger SUVs tend to be one of the biggest drawbacks amongst purchasers. While regular-sized cars may still be cheaper to purchase, consumers are making their preference for the all-wheel-drive experience that a CUV offers clear and are willing to pay a little more up front for a utility vehicle that stands up to the task.
